How it will work
A C-section is major abdominal surgery. Your body heals in layers, and sometimes those layers heal “sticky”. Our approach has three gentle steps that work together.
Soften the scar
Slow, specific hands-on techniques — and gentle LymphaTouch® suction — help soften tight scar tissue where it has gripped. Often the first thing people notice is less pulling.
Free the layers beneath
Healthy tissue slides in layers. We gently work through the layers beneath the skin, using hands and LymphaTouch® suction where it’s suitable, to help them glide over one another again — so stretching, twisting and lifting feel easier.
Look after the whole you
Your tummy is connected to your back, hips and posture, so we look at the whole picture. You’ll leave with simple things to do at home and a clear idea of what to do next.
Appointments will be private, one-to-one and bookable online, with payment up front. This service is independent of the NHS and complements, rather than replaces, medical care.
What’s going on under the skin
During a C-section, the surgeon cuts through several layers. They heal back together, but sometimes the new tissue grips the layers around it. That can pull on the skin and nearby tissue, or leave the area feeling numb.
Scar therapy is gentle, hands-on work that aims to soften the scar and free the tissue around it. It doesn’t replace medical care.
Tight & stuck
Layers cling together around the scar. This is where pulling, tugging or numbness can come from.
